Refinitiv issues CDOR consultation

Toronto – Refinitiv today announced the publication of a consultation regarding the Canadian Dollar Offered Rate, CDOR, a regulated benchmark under Regulation (EU) 2016/1011 (EU BMR). Refinitiv via its authorised subsidiary Refinitiv Benchmark Sevices (UK) Limited (RBSL) is the administrator of CDOR. The consultation invites feedback from stakeholders and users of CDOR regarding changes under consideration that will ensure the benchmark’s ongoing alignment with recognised international standards and benchmark regulations. Shirley Barrow, Global Head Benchmarks and Indices, Refinitiv, said: “The IOSCO Principles for Financial Benchmarks and EU BMR highlight the importance of anchoring benchmarks in active markets. With benchmark regulation expected to be introduced in Canada in 2021, Refinitiv in its role as administrator for CDOR has identified possible changes to CDOR that would maintain its alignment with regulations and users’ expectations, and we invite feedback via this consultation.”
