An overview of People Data

People Authority (PA) creates an authoritative database of people content. Data supplied includes contributions from LSEG Datasets as well as third party feeds.

Current contributors include: public officers and directors, estimates and research analysts and brokers, buy and sell-side contacts, and insiders.

The concorded supply arrives as a single, authoritative record for each entity. Each record is assigned a unique, permanent identifier, established via mastering of critical attributes, some public and some private, which identify and describe a person. The Permid allows user to make broad and deep connections about individuals.

We promote a standardised, federated collection model. No single group is responsible for mastering persons in the PA. Different content groups use the PA as the single source to reference a person entity, and, if warranted, create or update people records directly in the master via contribution tools.
