Features & Benefits
What you get with Markit Economics - Purchasing Managers’ Index
- The PMI surveys are based on facts, not opinion, and are among the first indicators of economic conditions published each month. Over 20,000 companies participate.
- The surveys achieve considerable press coverage on a regular basis and are widely used by purchasing professionals in the manufacturing sector, by senior management across the corporate sector and by economic analysts in financial institutions - particularly central banks in many key economies use the data to help guide interest rate decisions.
- Besides the main PMI numbers and sector series, Markit also produces PMI numbers for metals and electronics; and publishes a separate report on UK Jobs.
- Flash estimates are released for a subset of the countries.
