Refinitiv announces update to investment & advisory proposition team  

Refinitiv’s Shirley Barrow promoted to Global Head of its Benchmarks & Index Business.

London/New York – Refinitiv today announced the appointment of Shirley Barrow as Global Head of its Benchmarks & Index Business. Shirley will report to Pradeep Menon, Managing Director of Investing & Advisory, as a member of the I&A Proposition Leadership Team and will assume responsibility for Refinitiv’s Benchmarks & Index business including the WM/ Reuters business - the world leader in foreign exchange benchmarks.

Shirley joined Refinitiv in April 2016. Prior to this, Shirley was Managing Director at State Street, where she was responsible for the development and growth of the WM/ Reuters business. Shirley has 20 years’ experience in financial services, having held several leadership positions at Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank and State Street. She also represents the WM/R Benchmarks at numerous trade events and frequently engages with central banks around FX regulation and industry best practices.

Shirley Barrow’s announcement follows the recent news of the appointment of Cornelia Anderson as Global Head of M&A and Capital Raising as Refinitiv continues to invest in I&A leadership.
