Refinitiv and NRI win FTF award for best new post-trade solution

Integrated solution – Refinitiv’s BETA & NRI’s I-STAR/GX – wins “best new post-trade solution” at the FTF News technology innovation awards 2020

New York – Refinitiv and Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (NRI), a leading provider of consulting services and system solutions, were recognized by the 2020 FTF News Technology Innovation Awards for “Best New Post-Trade Solution.”

The annual awards recognize those solutions best displaying innovation across the global financial technology landscape. From a distinguished group of top technology vendors, the FTF News editorial team shortlisted the integrated solution of Refinitiv and NRI, with the winner later decided by votes cast by industry participants.

This remarkable achievement comes after one year of continued growth and adoptions of the global solution resulting from the strategic partnership between Refinitiv and NRI.

In a rapidly changing and increasingly complex marketplace, the integrated NRI I-STAR/GX solution, leveraging Refinitiv’s BETA wealth management brokerage processing system, eliminates many manual double keying and high-touch tasks for end-users. Global wealth management firms benefit from the fully automated, international post-trade processing for multi-market and multicurrency securities.

“The market reception of our combined solution with NRI has been phenomenal,” said Joe Mrak, Global Head of Wealth Management, Refinitiv. “This FTF News award further validates the true value delivered to firms seeking a better way to transact, process and clear complex cross-border trades. We look forward to another great year of delivering innovation across our collective client set.”

“This award is a testament to the strength of our partnership with Refinitiv, and speaks volumes about the great, collaborative work we’ve been able to undertake,” said Naohiro Sako, Senior Corporate Managing Director at NRI. “As asset and wealth management firms continue to embrace multi-currency, cross-border trading to achieve great gains for their clients, solutions like I-STAR/GX will be in ever greater need. We’re proud to be leading the charge.”

The FTF News Technology Innovation Awards recognize the professionals, vendors, service providers, industry bodies and regulators that have demonstrated exceptional achievement in financial services operations technology during the previous year.
