In 2015, the United Kingdom enacted the Modern Slavery Act “MSA.” Of most relevance to U.S. multinationals operating in the United Kingdom is Section 54 of the MSA, which consists of transparency provisions that will require a significant number of U.S.-based companies to prepare and make public a slavery and human trafficking statement every year.
