Deputy Chief Economist, Fathom

About Andrew

Since joining Fathom in September 2017, Andrew has worked on numerous bespoke consultancy projects for clients, including a study of technological supply chains through the Indo-Pacific region and, more recently, an assessment of techno-economic competition between the US and China, with a particular focus on the policies required to help spur future innovation.

As well as leading major consultancy projects, Andrew also uses his experience in economic modelling to contribute and advise on many areas of Fathom’s work, including our quarterly Global Outlook. In addition, he overseas the running of the company’s Financial Vulnerability Indicator, a comprehensive measure of global risk.

Andrew completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Surrey and an MSc in Economics at the University of Warwick. Prior to joining Fathom, he also worked in macroeconomic research at J.P. Morgan, and on financial stability issues at H.M. Treasury.
