About Bart
Bart heads up Refinitiv’s FX Sell-Side Trading.
He is globally responsible for Refinitiv’s FX Trading, Conversational Dealing, Electronic Trading, and Post-trade as they pertain to the sell-side trading business.
His role includes strategic development of FX products, providing clients with integrated FX solutions that increase efficiency, quality of service, market access, and transparency.
Bart joined Refinitv in December 2014 as Proposition Manager for Electronic Trading. In this role, he led the conceptual reshaping of the Electronic Trading offering from a distribution engine towards a full end-to-end automated dealing room for FX and MM.
Bart previously worked for ING Bank, starting there in 1997. Between 2005 and 2014, he globally coordinated the e-business, leading the Electronic Trading offering from concept to global implementation and operations (across asset classes, pricing, hedging, aggregations, transaction cost analysis, and algorithmic trading).
At ING Bank, Bart also worked in Treasury Front Offices, where he had roles in FX sales, FX and interest rate derivatives sales, and FX options trading, covering almost the entire suite of asset classes.
Bart graduated with a degree in Economics (Business Management, Accounting and Fiscality) in 1997 from Artevelde University College in Ghent, Belgium.
