About Shirley
Shirley Birman is the Proposition Manager for Quantitative Solutions at Refinitiv. Prior to this role, she was the Manager of Quantitative Consulting at Thomson Reuters (Refinitiv) StarMine for eight years.
Shirley began working at StarMine in 2007 in the quantitative consulting role, serving as the liaison between the sales team and the researchers.
She has a B.S. in Systems Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master’s in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
While working on her Master’s degree, Shirley focused on corporate finance research and in particular, examined the impact of corporate governance on firm performance.
