About Stacey

Stacey English is Head of the Regulatory Intelligence team, which tracks and analyses regulatory developments from global regulators and provides regulatory insight, industry thought leadership and training to compliance and risk professionals worldwide. She joined us in 2010 through the Complinet acquisition.

Stacey has 20 years’ compliance, risk management and audit experience within the financial services industry as a regulator, practitioner and adviser. Stacey is a qualified accountant having gained the highest results worldwide. She has first class degrees in BSc (Hons) Applied Accounting and BA (Hons) Business Administration and holds the CII’s Certificate in Financial Planning.

Stacey began her regulatory career with the UK regulator (now FCA) where she undertook supervisory inspections and mis-selling investigations and drafted new rules and guidance for the financial services industry.

Stacey also audited and reported to the Board on the conduct of the regulator itself. As a practitioner she specialized in risk management within the insurance industry, designing, embedding and managing enterprise risk frameworks and reporting for Aviva and Lloyd’s of London.

 

Stacey also provided risk management consultancy services to Lloyd’s syndicates and was latterly head of governance, reporting and intelligence for Barclays Bank.
