Refinitiv provides risk management solution to Kyowa Kirin
Adoption of Refinitiv’s integrated risk management platform Connected Risk to support creation of global GRC platform
Tokyo/London - Refinitiv has announced that it will provide its integrated risk management software platform, Connected Risk, to Kyowa Kirin Co., Ltd. This initiative will help Kyowa Kirin build up a global governance-risk-compliance (GRC) system by leveraging the platform’s powerful flexibility and scalability.
Kyowa Kirin is introducing risk management operations such as incident management and workflow functions into Japan with the aim to subsequently expand them on a global scale afterwards. Satoshi Nakanishi Ph.D., Executive Officer, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility Management Department, Kyowa Kirin said: "We expect the introduction of Connected Risk to significantly contribute to the set-up of our global GRC platform."
With the award-winning Connected Risk platform, corporations are able to interpret risks across the enterprise using a range of flexible modules. Connected Risk can integrate with legacy systems and gathers information from third-party sources capturing the overall risk exposure in a more comprehensive way. The platform can manage risks throughout the enterprise by readily combining five business modules: operational risk management, compliance management, internal audit, regulatory change management and model risk management. This flexible risk management approach allows companies to understand their overall picture of risk exposure and facilitate better strategic decision making.

Connected Risk removes the limitations that often emerge when aligning an off-the-shelf system to existing risk processes or reporting standards. It integrates various sources – third-party or non-standardized – into a single, aggregated view of risk, and prioritizes data using advanced mapping to make information easier to understand through a system of tags, structures, charts, and a shared taxonomy. All risk data can be viewed both at a specific use case and an enterprise-wide level, on a dashboard tailored to meet the needs of the organization.
