Refinitiv signs Women in Finance Charter for second consecutive year - reinforcing its commitment to build a more gender-balanced and fair financial services sector

London/New York – Today, Refinitiv signed the Women in Finance Charter, a commitment by HM Treasury and signatory firms to promote gender balance across the UK financial services industry.

Refinitiv remains committed to achieving a minimum of 40% female representation in senior leadership globally by December 2020. Currently, Refinitiv has 36% female representation in senior leadership.

To achieve its goal, Refinitiv is:

  • Actively tracking progress against its 40% target by setting clear internal policies and recruitment goals, as well as having clear leadership accountability
  • Utilizing detailed gender reporting and action planning to identify areas for focused attention

By signing the Women in Finance Charter, Refinitiv is joining the 330 other signatories who are also committed to support the progression of women into senior roles in financial services, create a diversity strategy with internal targets, and publicly report on progress delivered against these internal targets.

Refinitiv was previously a signatory to the Women in Finance Charter when it was the Financial & Risk business of Thomson Reuters, having joined in 2016 as the first signatory outside the banking sector.
