Refinitiv Publishes Consultation Summary of CDOR Benchmark

Toronto – Refinitiv has published a summary of the September 2020 consultation regarding the Canadian Dollar Offered Rate, CDOR, a regulated benchmark under Regulation (EU) 2016/1011 (EU BMR). The consultation invited feedback from stakeholders and users of CDOR regarding changes being considered.

Following receipt of feedback and advice from the CDOR Oversight Committee, Refinitiv announces that the calculation and publication of the 6-month and 12-month CDOR tenors will cease in six months’ time, from Monday 17th May 2021 onwards. The last day of publication for the 6-month and 12-month CDOR tenors will be Friday 14th May 2021. The remaining tenors are not affected by this decision. Additionally, the length of the contribution window will be amended. The timing of the publication of individual contributions to CDOR will be the subject of further analysis and no changes will be made at this stage.

Shirley Barrow, Global Head Benchmarks and Indices, Refinitiv, said: “These changes will ensure CDOR’s ongoing alignment with recognised international standards and benchmark regulations. We thank all stakeholders who provided responses to the consultation.”

The summary of the consultation is available here.
