Cindy Berman

Cindy Berman is the Head of Knowledge & Learning at the Ethical Trading Initiative, a tripartite not-for-profit membership organisation of companies, trade unions and NGOs focused on improving working conditions and labour rights in global supply chains. She leads ETI’s work on modern slavery and labour exploitation, and has over 30 years’ experience in international development and human rights. Born in South Africa, she has held senior roles at the UN, UK government departments, Commonwealth, civil society organisations, focusing on countries in Africa and Asia.
