Daniel is Head of Agriculture Research at Thomson Reuters, based in London. He leads a team of researchers based on four continents who employ a variety of data sources to produce crop production forecasts and monitor the flows of imports/exports. Daniel has a deep knowledge of supply-side market drivers based on extensive engagement with stakeholders and experience working with global weather data and satellite imagery. He has surveyed crops in Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany and the United States.
Daniel comes to London via Illinois, Puerto Rico, Texas, and Mississippi. He studied Geography at Texas A&M University earning his Ph.D. in 2010. Starting as an analyst, Daniel has been with Thomson Reuters since 2012. In his free time, he enjoys teaching his daughter how to swim, practicing karate, and reading history.
