Johann Wiebe is a lead metals analyst working in the GFMS Team and is based in Chicago. As he performs extensive and continuous research into financial markets and macroeconomics, Johann applies his sophisticated grasp of market drivers and dynamics, which are informed by detailed knowledge of a range of assets and products.
He is accustomed to working with large data sets; building, maintaining and improving (econometric) demand as well as price forecasting models; and presenting verbal and written retrospective to internal and external clients and stakeholders. Johann also applies his analytical abilities to the automotive sector, in particular portions of the field dealing with emerging technology. He is a frequently sought after speaker at corporate events, conferences and news outlets.
He has an established network of senior contacts in European and American industrial and financial institutions. He is fluent in Dutch, German and English and holds a Master’s in International Economics from Kingston University.
