Will the U.S. markets continue to see a V-shaped recovery? How can financial institutions adapt quickly to the new-normal in a heavily regulated industry? In the midst of these operational challenges, how can traders deal with heightened levels of risk and volatility?
What additional risks are emerging? Will ESG continue to outperform other sectors of the market? Will there be a recovery or a recession in 2021? How can we avert our next crisis together: the climate emergency?
These questions, amongst many currently debated upon by economists, investment officers, governments, analysts and market commentators, are not straight-forward to answer. At Refinitiv, we believe that the effective combination of data, insights and technology can help our clients to get closer to the answers and as a result, better navigate these rapid market shifts.

The methodology and data behind #RefinitivSocial100
To create our Top 100 list, we worked with a team of social media analysts and compiled a long list of 200+ keywords. The list was then ranked by how each individual’s LinkedIn and Twitter content performed against four key metrics:
- Impressions: how many times posts appeared in social streams.
- Relevance: the degree to which content is focused on key areas in fintech.
- Resonance: the extent to which posts were engaged with.
- Reach: the number of people reached.
The long list was then sorted according to Topical Engagement, which is an equation, combining a weighted score of relevance and resonance for the 2 platforms mentioned. From these scores, we ranked the top 100 influencers that would become the #RefinitivSocial100.
